Speak The Word

And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.”(Matt.8:7-8). “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Heb.4:12).
The above-quoted passages of the Bible clearly explain how active and powerful the word of God is. Nothing can the word of God be compared with. The word can build and it can destroy. The word of God moves faster than anything else if well appropriated. The word can travel beyond the unknown within and outside the universe. The word of God can be trusted and depended on if it is faith-filled and the Holy Spirit-controlled – pneumagogy . Through the word, all things were brought into existence (Heb.11:3). The whole creation was made by, and responded to, words. The power of God’s word cannot be underestimated. God magnifies His word above His name given the important role the word plays in the cosmos (Ps.138:2). This word of God is available for us to use today. When God’s word is spoken in faith, it releases either life or death (Prov. 18:21) and will affect people, things, and circumstances. That is while we must not joke with what comes out of our mouths: it can kill and bring to life.
Every word we speak counts. There is no such thing as an “idle” word that will not work for us or against us. Our words can bind us and can lose us; our words can be our most powerful weapon against the devil, to defeat the devil or bind the devil (Prov. 6:2; Rev.12:11). Faith-filled words can move our mountains and dismantle them in one fell swoop (Mark 11:23). The word has the capacity to fulfill the purpose for which you send it (Isa.55:10-11). When we send or speak the word, healing and deliverance will take place (Ps.107:20). What you just need to do is to speak out the word, send it now the result will be unimaginable.
Faith in the power and authority of the spoken word was again demonstrated by the Centurion in Matthew 8:8 when he told Jesus to speak the word only. We are to believe in the power and authority of the word of God. Hear what Jesus says here:
21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them (Mark 11:21-23, emphasis mine)
In Isaiah 45:11, God says ask me, speak the word, and command all the things that have created:
Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
What is required of us here is our faith. God has given us the blank cheque to write any amount on it. Again, Jesus boldly, authoritatively gives us the open cheque here when He says:
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14)
Jesus is very firm and certain without an iota of doubt that what He says He will do He will do. It is now left for us to galvanise our faith. Faith is the vehicle that conveys your words to their destinations. You need “great faith” to galvanise or activate your words (Matt.8:10). We need faith to electrify our words to fulfill the purpose for which they are sent. Our words can only produce results if they are triggered by our faith. SPEAK THE WORD WITH FAITH TODAY and you will be tremendously blessed in Jesus’ name.
