Jesus: The New Hope of Eternal Life

God is not a man that He should lie. When He promises to do something, He will fulfill it (Num.23:19; Titus 1:2; Heb.6:18). Even before the world began, God promised what He was going to do for those who believe (2Tim.1:9). He reiterated this promise when He sent His only begotten Son to the world for the salvation of the world that whosoever believes in Jesus will have eternal life (John 3:16). This Eternal Life is an unending future reality, a gift of God obtainable through Jesus Christ our Lord (Rom.6:23; 1John 5:11, 12). Jesus came to save and He has promised to go and prepare our eternal home of rest for us (John 14:2-3). This is an assurance of hope. This new hope also echoes in Rev.14:13 that the dead in Christ will have rest in their eternal home.
What Must I Do To Have Eternal Life? (Matt.19:16-22; cf.Mk.10:17-22; Lk.18:18-22) OR How Can I Be Born Again?
- Acknowledge that you are a convicted sinner that can be saved by His mercy (Lk.18:13; Rom.3:23; Ps.51:5)
- Genuinely repent of your sins to avoid being perished (Lk. 13:3; Acts 3:19)
- Confess to your sins God now, He is ready to forgive you (1John 1:9)
- Then, forsake all these sins and begin a new life with Christ ( 2Cor.5:17; Isa.55:7; Prov. 28:13)
- Surrender your life to Jesus completely by believing Him (John 3:16)
- Receive Him into your heart by faith and thank Him for saving you (John 1:11-12; Eph.2:8)
